Games at CEAL

At CEAL, we celebrate the joy of games and play in all its forms! Whether you’re a strategic thinker, a lover of retro classics, or curious about traditional Japanese games, there’s something here for you.

We host a regular Riichi Mahjong club in Overvecht every Saturday evening, where players of all levels come together to enjoy this classic Japanese tile game. In addition, we organise events focused on retro gaming, giving fans the chance to play, compete, and connect over nostalgic favourites.

Our activities also include workshops in GO, the ancient strategy game, and a special video series on Japanese games, created in collaboration with Neverneverland, a games store in Utrecht, under the Japan Fans banner. Through these workshops and projects, participants not only learn the rules and strategies but also discover the rich cultural traditions behind the games.

Whether you want to sharpen your mind, explore Japanese game culture, or simply have fun with fellow enthusiasts, CEAL’s gaming activities offer something for everyone. Join us, play, learn, and connect — the games are waiting!
