Kids’ Club!

Learning can be joyful, creative, and full of play — especially for children. At CEAL, we offer a range of fun and engaging activities that introduce young learners to Japanese language and culture in an imaginative way.

Every Friday at 4 PM, our lovely teacher Yuko sensei hosts a special Japanese class for children, where language comes alive through songs, games, and simple crafts. The focus is on curiosity and enjoyment, helping children to absorb new words and cultural ideas naturally.

Children explore Japanese language and culture in a playful and hands-on way. They can try folding origami, write their name in real Japanese characters, and take part in other creative activities. It’s a lovely opportunity to make new friends and enjoy learning together in a relaxed setting.

It’s a cosy, low-key gathering, usually with three or four children, so everyone can feel comfortable and have fun. If your child would like to join in the fun, please send us a message — we’d love to welcome them!

The volunteers of the Japan Fans group also love organising events for children! These include celebrations like Kodomo no Hi, as well as fun activities such as drawing manga, folding origami, and learning Japanese swordsmanship.

If you would like to organise an event for a birthday, your dojo, or any other occasion, just send us a message. We’re always happy to bring a little bit of Japan to young hearts and curious minds.

Some of our previous events were Kodomo no Hi in Houten, and Kodomo no Hi in Utrecht! ^_^
